Congratulations Rachael!

Rachael joined the Library Land Project in 2023. At the time, she was working in the circulation department at the Wellesley Free Library. While she enjoyed her work, Rachael knew she wanted to work in information services - and that that would require a degree.

Rachael opted for Texas Woman’s University, and - while working full-time - she was able to complete her MLS in 18 months. This past Friday, she achieved her goal. A big Texas-sized congratulations for her accomplishment!

For her practicum, Rachael developed an arts and crafts education program. She conducted the program at the Morse Institute in Natick. Right out of the gate, she had strong participation from the community and saw that expand as the program went on.

Her work on the Library Land Project has focused on visual content, both photography and video. In addition, Rachael has expanded on outreach channels to include Blue Sky and TikTok. While in Texas for her graduation, Rachael has been visiting libraries and will be sharing recaps of those visits soon!
